Announcements...

As Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth would say, good news (you all) everybody!  First, I'm pleased to announce a new feature for Season 6 on EyeMSick: our own Wayne Allen Sallee will be joining me in reviewing each episode.  As many of you know, Wayne is an accomplished author and one of the most prolific commenters on this blog.  The inclusion of his articulate commentary can only improve the quality of my recaps.

Second, I've seen the Season 6 premier on-line and am happy to report it's amazing!  The copy I watched was a bad bootleg, but even the blurry picture and inaudible dialogue couldn't obscure the wicked awesomeness of this episode.  If you've resisted temptation thus far, I recommend that you wait one more day.  There are some shocking images that are best appreciated in broadcast quality.  But if you were weak like me, we're discussing the episode over on the spoiler thread.

As always, you're welcome to post anonymously, but please identify yourself somehow, so I can distinguish between anonymous posters. Thanks!

Congrats Wayne! Good move, Bigsy. Wayne, now that you have the conch, loves me some more Tom commentary. Can't wait for tomorrow.

You know, I just said to myself the other day that we could all use a bit more of Wayne Allen Sallee in our lives. And presto, here we are!

Looking forward to experiencing the final season with the joint perspective of Bigmouth and Wayne Allen on a weekly basis.

NetProphet, I've stayed away because of the spoilers bleeding into the next entries. I was the one who actually suggested Big do a spoiler post, in effect saying that there wasn't much point in someone like me speculating when so many people were episodes ahead of me (and others), spoiler-wise. The only thing I know about S6 is what I've formulated in my head.

KoreAmBear, for months, every time the S6 ad ran, I wanted SO BAD to see Tom saying "Jack, its our destiny."

First entry for S6: Re: LA X, Don't Do It...hey, is this mic on? Try the bratwurst everybody!

y'all HAVE to talk about the space between LA and X

Wayne Allen:

I figured that was the reason I hadn't seen you around much.

Any ground rules between you and Big as far as dealing with spoilerish issues? I know that spoilers per se will not show up in the weekly reviews, but what about communications between the two of you? I've learned first hand that it is hard to keep speculating and theorizing in forums where people are not, and rightfully don't want to be, spoiled.

NetProphet, I'm going to let Big lead on this as it is his blog. Me, I'd think a S6 spoiler/spec post should start up, because I know Big gets tons more traffic on the spoiler posts.

I'm heading north for the Monday night readings now, and I've told the proper people that if I am stabbed or shot before S6 ends that my brain be hooked up to my border collie. Of course, the blog might read strange after that.

I'm sure when Big adds to the comments, more will be clear.

Namaste, gang. Or, as Tom would say: More wine, Arturo?

I just posted a note on FB of my favorite Lost related sites, and just wanted to put here what I said of this blog:

"Eye M Sick (a reference to the mural in the Swan station) is one of the most astute and creative Lost blogs I have read. All of his blogs are relevant and terribly plausible (he sticks mostly to Lost theory). This is also where the top minds of internet Lost nerdom conjugate to discuss the subject, and, again, I have learned so much from these people. It has enriched, in a near spiritual way, this infinitely captivating show, and I am grateful."

As we go through this final season together, I had to say thanks for the way the show has brought together such great people with insights, thoughts and theories. I can't wait to read and experience with all of you. It's going to be memorable and its going to be great.

Howdy Wayne, welcome back.

I am going into hiding until the East Coast is caught up, so hopefully someone else who hasn't seen it yet will be around to help chew through the bits and pieces.

Thunderstorm said...

That should say WEST coast.

See you all everybody then.

KoreAmBear said...

@darkprose did you say nerds and conjugal visits in the same sentence?

"This doesn't look like LAX". See you guys tomorrow -- can't wait for tonight.

KoreAmBear said...

@thunderstorm shout out to the Hawaii time zone! We're almost last. Anyone on the Johnson Atoll?

Wayne said...

KoreAmBear is our mutual friend in the latest time zone. No talking about how Sawyer shoots a polar bear until after 1 AM EST.

KoreAmBear said...

@Wayne we end at 10pm Hawaii Time so that would be 3am EST. Post away after 3am!!! And remember, we're the good guys.

Capcom said...

Can't wait to see the Bigmouth and Wayne posts!

See you all everybody on the other side of the ep. We'll be waiting for you guys on the Left Coast to hunker in.

:o)

guys, where are we?

Heehee.

Capcom said...

There ya go....2007 is officially official.

Greg Tramel said...

yep, i'll take 2007

i still think it was 2008 when 316 left, but i'll drop it

Wayne said...

Five hours to CST and you guys don't have Daylight Savings, KoreAmBear. And no snow. And no 11 degrees. I did forget that last year you'd be watching the show as I had my collie out in the yard. I'm not watching the clip show yet, but I have my notebook ready.

Spoiler-free, man. I'm calm as hell, like after I finish a story. Weird, but I kinda feel like I'm on a plane, I guess because I use that anology on my writing, coasting down the runway like Lapidus. 7:43 PM. I've taken my evening pain and bi-polar meds. Losing altitude. Namaste.

Capcom said...

Oh me too, it was definitely 2008 on take-off.

I've taken my pain meds too....Kaluha. :o)

Soooo, a secondary timeline has split off from 1977 where Jack didn't meet Des before the SYD to LAX flight?

Hi!
You may probably be very curious to know how one can make real money on investments.
There is no initial capital needed.
You may begin to get income with a sum that usually is spent
for daily food, that's 20-100 dollars.
I have been participating in one company's work for several years,
and I'm ready to share my secrets at my blog.

Please visit blog and send me private message to get the info.

P.S. I earn 1000-2000 per day now.

Hi! I just wanted to throw this out there:

I read online, and see as a possibility, that the time line in which 815 lands is not parallel to the current time line at all.

Here's how I see it: the losties are stuck in a loop. Bomb goes off in 77, swan built, desmond crashes 815, they go back in time to restart the casual loop.

Now, at some point or another, this had to begin. What I feel this new 815 landing is, is the first iteration of the loop. The bomb hadn't gone off, the island sank due to Dharma punching a hole in the exotic matter. So, this new time line we are being shown actually predates season 1-5.

Near the end of S6, we'll see an event which begins the whole casual loop, creating S1-5.

What are your thoughts Big?

Thanks for reading and replying!

-Kris
